Students are humans and deserve to be treated as such...first. Once students hear and SEE a teacher say they love them, the connection avenues open up, they work harder for that teacher to make them proud. If a student, though, KNOWS and BELIEVES a teacher is not being honest with their love, that potential for connection is reduced, even possibly eliminated.
